Krystle Simpson
Owner | Trauma Informed Psychoeducational Specialist | Yoga & Meditation Instructor
Hi, I’m Krystle.
I’m a Trauma-Informed Psychoeducational Specialist, Plant Medicine Facilitator, and Yoga Instructor — and the founder of Down 2 Earth Healing.
My work is rooted in lived experience.
I didn’t find this path through a textbook. I found it through survival, healing, and rebuilding my life from the inside out.
I grew up in chaos. I navigated addiction. I carried trauma in my body for years. And like many women, I wore strength on the outside while silently unraveling within.
Yoga was the doorway.

What began as a physical practice slowly became a return to myself. Breath by breath, I started to feel my body again. I began to understand how trauma lives in the nervous system — and how safety can be rebuilt from within.
As my own healing deepened, I pursued formal training in yoga, trauma-informed care, and plant medicine facilitation. Not just to teach — but to hold space responsibly, ethically, and with integrity.

Today, I guide women through grounded, trauma-aware healing experiences that honor both science and spirit.
Through yoga, breathwork, sound, and plant medicine integration, I help women:
• Regulate their nervous systems
• Process stored emotional pain
• Rebuild trust with their bodies
• Reclaim their voice and personal power

This work is not about bypassing pain.
It’s about meeting it safely — and transforming it.
Down 2 Earth is more than a yoga studio. It’s a space for women who are ready to come home to themselves.
If you’re seeking real healing — not surface-level positivity — you’re in the right place.
I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Anna Shirley
Yoga Teacher - 200Hr | Certified Usui Level I & Holy Fire® Level II Reiki Practitioner
Yoga and Reiki are my guiding forces for living with mindfulness, compassion, and presence.”
Hi! I’m Anna. My journey into the healing arts began at the young age of nine when I was first introduced to yoga. Even then, I sensed its power for self-discovery. After years of personal practice and growth, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2023 and have been a dedicated member of the Down 2 Earth Healing community since June of 2025.
For me, yoga is about more than just a physical practice; it is a way of living. I am deeply passionate about making every student who walks into the studio feel welcome, seen, and supported. Whether you are a regular or a first-timer, my goal is to create a space where we can connect—not just with each other, but with ourselves.
In every class I teach, I focus on keeping the mind, body, and spirit cohesive, helping you find balance and presence that you can carry off the mat and into your daily life.
Energy Healing & Reiki
In addition to my work in the studio, I am a certified Usui Level I and Holy Fire® Level II Reiki practitioner. I currently welcome Reiki clients who are seeking to clear energetic blocks, reduce stress, and find a deeper sense of internal alignment.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of the space Krystle has built here. Whether we are moving together in class or working through a private Reiki session, I am honored to support you on your path to wellness.
With love,
Anna

Kinsey Rose
Yoga Instructor - 200Hr | BFA Dance | Certified Kids Yoga Instructor
A dancer since age 5, Kinsey earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It was here that she was first introduced to yoga.
At the time, she approached yoga as something she “should” do to achieve some sort of mind-body balance and address chronic low back pain. She didn’t love it. It made her feel weak in ways she didn’t expect and frustrated with her inability to “still her mind.”
It wasn’t until 2012, four years and one child later, that a friend would re-introduce her to it, with an invitation to become a yoga instructor.
With a plan to guilt herself into practice by purchasing a top notch yoga mat, Kinsey committed to taking classes and invested in a 200-hour yoga teacher training. This time, with kindness, self-compassion, and a better understanding of what yoga is,
Kinsey’s passion for yoga finally bloomed. Since then, Kinsey has taught more than 400 hours of vinyasa yoga to adults including basics workshops, beginner and slow flow, intermediate and warm flow classes, and private lessons.
She also completed her kids yoga certificate with Kidding Around Yoga and built a business providing yoga themed birthday parties and kids camps.

Angela Lexow
E- 500 RYT Certified Yoga Instructor | Level 2 Reiki Practioner
My name is Angela Lexow I am an E- 500 RYT certified yoga instructor and a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. I have over 75 hours of training in Myofascial Release. I have an additional 100 + hours of supplemental yoga education and continue to learn and gain hours of training through workshops, conferences and specific teacher trainings.

I've been teaching yoga since 2013 and have taught at various studios, gyms, and corporate settings. I co-owned The Yoga Room at Fairlawn for almost 5 years and I co-owned The Yoga Space Topeka for almost 3 years.

I have been active my whole life, through dance, soccer, coaching, and being a certified group fitness instructor. After the birth of my first son, I began having major problems with my back, which I mostly ignored. The day I found out I was pregnant with my second son, I also found out I had a bulging and herniated disc in my lower back. At 4 ½ months pregnant, I had successful back surgery. My off and on issues with my back are what brought me to yoga.

I have had a total hip replacement in both of my hips from years of dance , sports and hypermobility. I will always have issues with my back and my hip joints, but yoga is a practice that is always changing and adapting to my needs. I fell in love with yoga because it is a challenge but one that is kinder on my body. The mind-body component is helping me accept the limitations I have but find there are many ways to challenge myself physically and mentally.

I strive to help my students figure out what works in their own body to feel good and be functional. I love to help people find ways to feel better in their mind and body
