You might think you’re doing okay.
You’re functioning. You’re checking the boxes. You smile when you’re supposed to. You manage.
But deep down, something feels… off.
You’re tired but can’t rest.
You’re doing all the right things but still feel heavy, disconnected, or tense for no clear reason.
That’s not your personality.
That’s your nervous system stuck in survival mode.
And sound therapy can help bring you back to yourself.
Let’s Back Up—What Is Sound Therapy?
Sound therapy uses vibrational frequencies—often from tools like crystal sound bowls, tuning forks, or chimes—to help the body shift out of stress and back into regulation. It’s not “just relaxing background noise.” It’s a scientifically-backed, nervous-system-supporting method of healing that reaches places the mind can’t access.
Sound works directly on the body.
It doesn’t need logic.
It doesn’t need words.
It doesn’t even need belief.
Your cells, your bones, your nervous system—they all feel the frequency and respond
What Does That Even Mean—‘Stored Trauma in the Body’?

Let’s break it down.
When you experience something overwhelming—whether it’s a car accident, heartbreak, chronic stress, childhood chaos, emotional neglect, or even years of being “on alert” for no obvious reason—your body kicks into survival mode:
Fight. Flight. Freeze. Fawn.
These are brilliant responses. They’re your body protecting you.
But here’s the kicker: if your body never gets the signal that it’s safe now, it stays there.
And if you’ve been stuck there for a while, it becomes your new normal.
How Do You Know You’re Still in Survival Mode?

Let’s skip the clinical language and talk real-life symptoms.
You might be stuck in survival mode if you…
Clench your jaw, shoulders, or fists constantly and don’t realize it until someone points it out.
Feel exhausted but wired—your mind won’t stop, but your body feels heavy.
Are super productive but feel numb, like you’re watching life from a distance.
Get overwhelmed by small things (a full inbox, a change in plans, a loud noise).
Avoid slowing down because when you do, you feel anxious or even panicked.
Zone out often. You’re there, but not really there.
Constantly plan, prep, or problem-solve in your head—even when you’re trying to rest.
Cry randomly, or feel like you should cry but can’t.
Feel disconnected from joy, pleasure, or creativity.
Are always trying to “fix yourself” but still feel like something’s missing.
These are all signs your body is still stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
Why Sound Works When Nothing Else Has
A lot of people come to sound therapy after saying things like:
“I’ve been to therapy, but I still don’t feel better.”
“I don’t want to talk about it again—I’m just tired of carrying it.”
“My body just doesn’t feel like it’s mine anymore.”
“I’ve tried meditating, but I can’t sit still long enough.”
That’s because talking helps the mind, but trauma lives in the body.
Sound is one of the most direct ways to support the body in releasing what it’s been holding—gently, non-invasively, and without needing to “figure it all out.”
The Science of Sound Healing (Yes, There’s Research)

This isn’t just spiritual fluff or good vibes. There’s real science behind how sound impacts the human body—and it’s catching up to what ancient cultures have known for thousands of years.
One key study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine in 2016 found that participants who received sound therapy using singing bowls experienced significant reductions in tension, anxiety, anger, and fatigue.
(Reference: Goldsby, T. L., et al. “Effects of Singing Bowl Sound Meditation on Mood, Tension, and Well-being.” J Evid Based Complementary Altern Med, 2016.)
Participants also reported improved spiritual well-being, and the effects were felt after just one session.
What this tells us:
Even brief exposure to sound frequencies can create measurable changes in stress, mood, and mental clarity. And that’s without needing to analyze or verbalize anything. It’s body-first healing.
How Sound Restructures Water—and Why That Matters to You

You’ve probably seen those powerful images of how sound vibrations affect water molecules. That field of study is called cymatics, and it visually shows how vibrations create form.
When water is exposed to harmonious frequencies (like those used in healing sound therapy), the molecules organize into beautiful, symmetrical patterns—like sacred geometry.
When exposed to harsh or dissonant frequencies, the patterns become chaotic and fragmented.
Here’s the mind-blowing part:
Your body is made of about 70% water.
So if sound can reorganize and harmonize water externally, just imagine what it’s doing inside your body. Your cells, your tissues, your energy centers—they’re all responding to the sound. They’re realigning, softening, shifting.
It’s not just “relaxing music.” It’s frequency medicine for your water-based body.
The Frequencies I Use in My Sessions

I use crystal sound bowls tuned to frequencies that correspond to the chakra system and the emotional patterns held in those energy centers. Each frequency has a specific purpose in helping the body release, remember, and reset.
Here’s a breakdown:
396 Hz – Root Chakra
Releases fear, shame, and survival energy. Helps you feel grounded and safe.
417 Hz – Sacral Chakra
Clears stored trauma and emotional heaviness. Supports creativity and flow.
528 Hz – Solar Plexus
The “miracle tone.” Brings healing to the cells and supports empowerment and confidence.
639 Hz – Heart Chakra
Opens space for love, forgiveness, and healing from grief or heartbreak.
741 Hz – Throat Chakra
Helps you access your voice, set boundaries, and speak your truth.
852 Hz – Third Eye
Supports mental clarity, intuition, and reconnecting with your inner wisdom.
963 Hz – Crown Chakra
Connects you with deep peace and spiritual awareness beyond the everyday noise.
I don’t follow a script. I intuitively select and play the bowls based on what your body is asking for.
Each session is different because you are different each time you walk in.
Other Tools I Use in Session: Tuning Forks + Koshi Chimes

In addition to my crystal sound bowls, I also use tuning forks and Koshi chimes to deepen the healing experience.
Each of these tools brings something unique to the table:
Tuning Forks
Tuning forks are precise, calibrated instruments that deliver targeted vibration to specific areas of the body or energetic field. Some are weighted to be placed directly on the body—others are unweighted and used aurically (around the body). They can help:
Release tension in specific areas (like the jaw, temples, or shoulders)
Clear energetic blockages
Stimulate the vagus nerve to support nervous system regulation
Align the chakras and subtle energy body with specific frequencies
Support left-right brain integration, grounding, and mental clarity
I’ll be incorporating these into sessions for clients who need a more focused, hands-on vibrational adjustment—especially helpful when emotions are stuck in a specific area of the body or when trauma is presenting physically.
The Science & History of Tuning Forks in Healing
Tuning forks were originally created in the 1700s as musical tools—but over time, their precise vibrational tones were found to have therapeutic effects on the body and mind. Today, they’re used not only in alternative healing spaces, but also in mainstream medicine—from hearing tests to nervous system stimulation.
But the use of sound for healing goes back even further. Ancient Greek physicians like Pythagoras believed that musical intervals could be used to restore harmony in the soul and body. In Chinese medicine, vibrational frequency has always been understood as part of how life force—Qi—moves through the body.
Now, modern research is catching up.
Studies show that certain frequencies can stimulate the vagus nerve, which controls the body’s rest-and-digest functions. Activating this nerve helps reduce inflammation, lower heart rate, and bring the nervous system out of a fight-or-flight state.
Tuning forks are also used in a practice called vibroacoustic therapy—a science-backed field where low-frequency sound is applied to the body to reduce pain, calm the nervous system, and support healing from trauma and chronic conditions.
When I use tuning forks in session, I’m not just “adding another sound.” I’m applying a targeted frequency to areas of your body that may be holding trauma or tension—gently supporting your system to release, align, and regulate.
Koshi Chimes

Koshi chimes are ethereal, hand-tuned chimes made with elemental resonance—Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. They’re soft, melodic, and incredibly soothing to the nervous system. I use them at the end of sessions (or after plant medicine drops during ceremony) to help:
Integrate the frequencies of the bowls and tuning forks
Signal safety and closure to the body
Deepen states of peace, stillness, and presence
Calm anxious or scattered energy in the field
These chimes often feel like the “gentle exhale” at the end of a deep release.
What Happens in a Session?
When you come in for a session, you’ll be invited to lie down, get cozy, and just receive. No talking. No pressure to explain. No need to do anything.
The bowls, forks, and chimes are placed around you or used intuitively on and around the body, and I guide you into a relaxed, meditative state using sound and intentional frequency work. You’ll feel the vibration in your body—sometimes subtly, sometimes deeply. The sounds help shift your brain waves, slow your heart rate, and guide your nervous system out of fight or flight and into rest and repair.

What People Experience After Sessions
People leave sessions saying things like:
“I feel lighter—like something let go.”
“I finally slept through the night.”
“I didn’t realize how much tension I was holding.”
“I felt like I left my body and came back more connected.”
“I cried during the session and I didn’t even know why—but it felt good.”
“I feel peaceful for the first time in a long time.”
These aren’t flukes. These are your body’s natural response to frequency medicine.
So… Who Is Sound Therapy Really For?
Let’s keep it real. You don’t have to be “spiritual” or “woo woo” to benefit from sound healing.
You don’t have to understand chakras or believe in energy work.
You just have to be human—and ready to feel better.
This is for you if:
You’re always exhausted but can’t seem to rest
You feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected—even if life “looks fine”
You’ve experienced trauma, loss, or long-term stress
You feel stuck in your head and can’t get grounded
You’re carrying emotional heaviness that you can’t put into words
You’ve been through therapy but
You crave a healing experience that supports your body, not just your mind
You want something gentle, restorative, and deeply supportive
Sound therapy is especially powerful for those who are burnt out, overstimulated, or emotionally overloaded. It’s not about fixing you. It’s about helping your body remember how to regulate again.
It’s Time to Tune Back In
If you’ve been living in survival mode for so long that it feels normal…
If your body has been begging for rest but you don’t know how to give it…
If you’re ready to feel peace without forcing it…
Sound therapy might be what your system has been waiting for.
I offer 30- and 60-minute sound healing sessions in a trauma-informed, peaceful setting.
You don’t need to explain. You just need to show up.
Let the sound do the work.
